Official Assignee appointed liquidator of Richina Limited
On 19 August 2024, the Official Assignee for New Zealand was appointed liquidator of Richina Limited following the bankruptcy of its sole shareholder, Richard Ciliang Yan.
Mr Yan was one of the directors and the majority shareholder of former commercial construction company Mainzeal, which was placed into receivership in 2013. The liquidator will look to sell Richina Limited’s assets for the purpose of repaying creditors.
Richina Limited owns three parcels of land, including a property at 408 Special School Road, Otekaieke. The liquidator visited the Otekaieke property during the week beginning 19 August 2024 to make an assessment. It is also coordinating with various parties in relation to its valuation, historical significance, and other matters.
